I'm Suzanne* but you can call me Sioux. I'm from Queens, New York, finished my Master's degree in Austin, Texas, and then left America to travel. I'm a writer and an editor with 10+ years of experience. I've been published in the Global Fund for Women's Her Blueprint, Go NY Magazine, Fraud Magazine, The Perfect Vision Magazine, The Get Go (China), In the Red Magazine, Youth Ki Awaaz ("India's Largest Mouthpiece for Youth"), Brown Girl Magazine, and was featured on the Go PowerKick travel website. I was also the managing editor of The Perfect Vision Magazine. I've also edited for Sony, Yahoo, Dell, HP, World Vision, and many more. Currently, I edit magazine and academic journal articles for professors from around the world, and make sparkly new cover letters and resumes that straight-up get people interviews and jobs.
During my travels, I've lived and worked in Thailand, China, and Myanmar teaching English. I volunteered on an organic tea estate in the north of India, WWOOFed throughout the north island of New Zealand, have been invited to make and edit videos for a sustainable community in Mexico, taught Management and Business English classes at an all-women's college in Honduras, and volunteered at an orphanage and international school in Panama, while also writing sustainable tourism and travel articles for the real estate and expat community there.
This site is a place where I can keep my writings, videos, and a few blog entries in one place. Feel free to get in touch on the Contact page, or comment on any of the blog entries. I'd love to hear from you.
*I used to be the only Suzanne Mahadeo on the web, but not anymore. I hope you've found the right person!
